Meross smart-home products are discounted by up to 38% during Amazon’s October Prime Day sale, according to CNET. Listed deals include a Wi-Fi water timer for $72 and a garage door opener kit for $59; sale prices and availability may change.
Selected Meross smart-home gadgets are on sale for up to 38% off during Amazon’s October Prime Day event, according to a CNET deals report. The listed offers include a Wi-Fi water timer for $72 and a garage door opener kit for $59, giving shoppers lower-cost options for automating garden watering, garage access and other household tasks.
CNET reported that the Meross Wi-Fi water timer is priced at $72, down $44 from its stated $116 list price. The device connects to a garden hose or sprinkler system and supports two watering zones for plants with different needs. CNET also says it can use real-time weather data to skip watering when rain is expected. The report describes this as the sale’s largest discount, though it does not provide a separate percentage for the timer beyond the overall claim of up to 38% off.
A Meross smart garage door opener kit is listed at $59, compared with a $70 list price, which CNET describes as a 15% saving. The report says the opener has an external antenna intended to improve Wi-Fi reception and reach. It identifies the kit as one included on CNET’s best smart garage door openers of 2026 list. CNET Senior Editor Tyler Lacoma said it is suited to longer driveways or homes with multiple garage doors, and pointed to its CarPlay support for control from a car dashboard.
Other offers mentioned in the report include a Meross smart thermostat for $68 and a 15% discount on an outdoor smart plug. CNET also cites discounts on smart plugs and strip lights, but the source material does not give prices for those products. Prices, stock and eligibility may vary on Amazon, and the report does not list an end date for individual offers.
Lower-Cost Options for Home Automation
The deals may make it less expensive for shoppers to add connected controls to everyday household equipment, including irrigation systems and garage doors. For people already considering those upgrades, the water timer’s weather-based scheduling and the opener’s remote access features are the main practical points described in the report. The listed prices also make the products easier to compare with alternatives, although a discount alone does not establish that a device is the right fit for a particular home.
Some devices can affect water use or access to a home, so shoppers may want to check compatibility and installation requirements before buying. The report does not provide details about setup costs, ongoing service fees or compatibility across every smart-home platform. Those factors can affect the total cost and usefulness beyond the sale price.

What CNET Reports on Meross
Meross sells a range of connected devices, including smart plugs, lights, thermostats, garage door controls and water timers. CNET’s report frames the current discounts as part of Amazon’s October Prime Day sale and highlights products it considers useful for seasonal needs, such as outdoor plugs for holiday lighting and a thermostat as colder weather approaches.
The report also points readers to other Prime Day smart-home offers. It names the Ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium as an alternative, priced at $210 in the sale, and notes that it costs more than the Meross thermostat. These comparisons are CNET’s shopping guidance, not a claim that one product is best for every buyer. The source material does not include a full comparison of features, compatibility or long-term costs.

Prices and Availability Can Change
The source report does not state when the offers expire, how many units are available or whether every listed price applies to all configurations. Amazon deal prices and stock can change, so the reported prices should be checked on the product pages before purchase. The report also does not specify whether the products require a subscription, hub or particular Wi-Fi setup, or detail compatibility with a reader’s existing smart-home equipment.
The stated savings compare sale prices with the list prices cited by CNET; the source does not provide independent price-history data. The broad “up to 38%” figure refers to the maximum reported discount across selected products, not a discount shared by every Meross item in the sale.
Check Listings Before Buying
Shoppers interested in the offers can review the current Amazon listings for Meross products to confirm the price, availability and included components. They can compare product requirements with their home setup before ordering, particularly for devices connected to irrigation or garage-door systems. CNET’s report directs readers to the brand’s sale section but does not announce a later sale milestone or confirm how long the discounts will remain active.
